Relationship between brightness/luminance ratio and additivity-law failure

Y Nayatani and H Sobagaki

Col. Res. Appl., 27 (2002) 185 (6 pp)  (Explain)

03-Dec-03

A simple relationship is proposed between the degree of additivity- law failure, the additivity-law luminance (luminance of the mixture colour derived by postulating additivity law), and the brightness/luminance ratio at the chromaticity of the mixture colour. This relationship can be applied to any additivity-law failure and any formula on brightness/luminance ratio. 12 references.
